titanium tube heat exchangerOne of the primary applications for titanium tube is for use in heat exchangers, surface condensers and evaporators.

Only Grade 1 to 3 care permissible for use in heat exchangers. The seamless tube is manufactured from a hollow billet by either a cold reducing or cold drawing process and is produced with a continuous periphery during all steps of manufacture.

Welded tube is made from flat rolled plate by arc welding process or otherwise however filler material isnt permissible for use. In addition for for cold worked tube this is cold worked to a finished size so as to transform cast weld micro structure to a equivalent equiaxed micro structure at the weld when heat treatment is applied.

Titanium heat exchanger tubes are furnished in the annealed condition except for Gr 9, 28 and 18 which is subject to ordering and can be either furnished as annealed, cold worked and stress relieved at a minimum temperature of 316 degrees Celsius for less time than half an hour.
