Quality Assured Titanium Tubes
We manage the production of titanium tube from raw material (titanium sponge) right through to final mill product. To ensure quality throughout all our titanium tubing and piping can be tracked back to our own batch of titanium sponge.
A key differentiator from other metal manufacturing is the several stages of manufacture. From ingot smelting to breakdown, punching and extrusion ensuring consistent composition is important in ensuring high quality precision pieces.
Titanium Tube Production Process Seamless Tube
Titanium tubes and pipes manufactured in a seamless form follow a different process than welded. Moreover seamless tube can be manufactured in two distinct ways, either through rotary piercing or extrusion.
Titanium tube billets produced from punching a bar billet are drawn using a titanium tube extrusion machine which continues until the required mill size is reached
The titanium tube is annealed to its final state condition using an annealing furnace
Eddy current testing is performed on the final titanium tubes.
Ultrasonic testing is next performed before a final inspection of dimensions and any special testing requiremets
Titanium Tube may be finished in a number of states dependent on requirements including polished, pickling, sanblasted, bright annealed etc.
