Seamless Titanium Pipes are available in length of up to 18m with diameter ranges from 0.4mm up to 340mm.

Welded Titanium Pipes are available for supply in lengths of 12m with a diameter range of 90mm to up 5,000 for heavy wall rolled pipes. Our titanium welded pipes are welded with single continuous weld lines and are 100% xray tested and liquid penetrant testing.

Titanium tube is used in a variety of applications including for use in titanium heat exchangers, condensers and evaporators and medical applications such as implants.

The choice of using Titanium Seamless Tubes over Titanium Welded tubes is largely driven by application and required dimensions of the pipe. Titanium Seamless Pipes generally offer increased strength and pressure capabilities over Welded tubes with welded tubes offering increased options on size and form. When choosing titanium tube it is necessary to decide whether a welded or seamless for is preferable. The decision to use one over the other is driven by several factors including the application of end usage but also the required dimensions and the cost to manufacture. Seamless tubes offers increased pressure capabilities however welded pipe offers increased flexibility over engineering and fabrication.

Titanium Tube Production

Titanium tubing manufacture is a technical process with several steps. The common production stages for both titanium and welded tubes involve the manufacture of titanium billets and slabs by way of the smelting of Titanium Sponge which is the reduced form of Titanium ore.

Titanium tubes and pipes manufactured in a seamless form follow a different process than welded. Moreover seamless tube can be manufactured in two distinct ways, either through rotary piercing or extrusion.

Titanium Tube Production Process Welded Tube

Welded tube is manufactured by rolling flat sheet and plates into a tube shape and welding the seam in between. The thicker the wall the heavier the rolling is and for thinner walled tubes the welding process is automated.

From a plate or sheet for a welded tube is rolled up into a cylindrical shape with the required machinery dependent on the pipe size. Heavy wall rolling is used for tubes with larger thickness than series rollers used for smaller thickness walls
